Summariser- Caitlin
Oscar makes a CD to stop thinking about Nia
Oscar finds a drawing of him that Nia drew on his window
Oscar attends a TAG activity and finds Nia there
Nia and Oscar both muck around and draw with chalk on the sidewalk
Mandi is not impressed and washes it off, Nia tries saving some of the art and gets soaked, Oscar ditches her
Oscar and his dad go fishing
Oscar’s dad assigned him to be Nia’s new best friend and guide her
Oscar realizes the only reason they went fishing was for tourist attraction
Nia comes to Oscar’s house, so they can study
Oscar’s dad leaves the house to deliver something to a client
Oscar shows Nia around the house, they don't complete homework
Oscar and Nia become boyfriend and girlfriend
Oscar and Mandi break up
Oscar and Nia have their first date in the shed at the back of the Roxbury, which Oscar had converted into a museum
Predictor
1). Oscar and Nia will stay together, I think this because they seem perfect for each other and they seem to like each other, at least Oscar does!
2). Nia won’t be affected by the messages, Oscar will make sure she stays the same and doesn't turn into your average Candor girl. I think this because Mandi was just like any other Candor girl, but Oscar didn’t like her and Oscar now really likes Nia, so I don't think he would let the messages change her.
3). Sherman will spill about what Oscar does to someone. I predict this, because Sherman is very stubborn and I don't think Sherman is the type of person who could keep a secret.
Emotional Identifier
Oscar:
Remembrance: Oscar does a lot of remembering of when his mum was around and all of the different things they would do together like the dots on Oscar’s bedroom roof.
Confidence: Oscar was very confident that his CD’s would make everything normal again and that Nia would somehow get out of his head.
Sentimental: Oscar was very sentimental when he saw the picture of himself that Nia drew. It made him look at things in different ways like when he had the dots and he was younger.
Irritated: Oscar gets very irritated when Nia plays games with his head like when she calls him Picasso and says it in a tone that anyone listening could hear their conversation on different secrets.
Happy: Oscar has mixed emotions towards Nia and happy is one of those that can change very quickly. But he seems to be much more happier now towards Nia
Nia:
Larrikin: Nia is very playful and a bit like the class clown she likes to muck around a bit and it gives her joy to annoy Oscar.
Confidence: Nia is also very confident and tends to do what she wants to do she is not really controlled by the messages.
Rebellious: I know this isn’t a kind of emotion but there is no other way to really describe her other then she doesn’t really go by the rules and can have fun.
Happy: Nia is also much happier towards Oscar. It seems the longer the book goes on the stronger there relationship gets.
Are there any other emotions that you can think of that I may have missed?
